High Tea

This weekend, I was asked to do a baby shower cake with the theme of “high tea”. I was excited to try a teapot – and with organization had things all ready to go the day of the delivery! I learned that if you have a 1 1/2 yr. old daughter, you should always put your fondant pieces in the middle of the counter, FAR away from little fingers!!!!! The morning of delivery, Maddy, our daughter, walked in the living room with the teapot handle broken and in her mouth! No time to replace that, so I had to improvise. None-the-less, the cake turned out well, and I was happy with the outcome! Chocolate with a rich chocolate buttercream icing and marshmallow fondant overlay.
